DESCRIPTION:Come join us as we plant the first crops of the season\, May 23 and 30!\nNestled beside Congregation Kol Ami in Millcreek\, Esther’s Garden is a vibrant community garden rooted in service\, sustainability\, and connection. Established in 2013 as a Bat Mitzvah service project by Setareh Khadjenoury\, the garden has grown into a welcoming space where volunteers of all ages gather to cultivate fresh fruits\, vegetables\, herbs\, and flowers for the benefit of the broader community. Inspired by both Jewish values and Persian heritage\, the garden reflects a spirit of generosity\, healing\, and shared stewardship of the earth. \nMore than just a place to grow produce\, Esther’s Garden serves as a gathering place for learning\, reflection\, and friendship. Volunteers work side-by-side tending the soil\, harvesting crops\, and donating fresh food to local families and food pantries throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Open to the community and guided by the motto “fresh food for anyone who needs it\,” the garden embodies Congregation Kol Ami’s commitment to compassion\, environmental responsibility\, and service to others.
