To make the holidays count this year, Stratus.hr has teamed up with Canyon Rim is Community to provide an assist to the Sharing Place. The Sharing Place provides a safe and caring environment for grieving children, teens, and their families to share their feelings while healing themselves after experiencing the death of a loved one. The Sharing Place assists approximately 500 grieving children and teens per year.
Cash donations will be used to support programming and purchase supplies for kits given to kids.
Donations of goods needed an include any of the following:
- Gift Cards (any denomination from your favorite home improvement, craft, office supply or super center store)
- Quality hand clippers for gardening
- Air Freshener
- Kleenex
- Toilet paper
- Paper Towels
- Large ziplock bags
- Pretzels, chips, crackers, cookies, candy, nuts, string cheese, fruit
- Granola bars
- Coffee, herbal tea
- Hot chocolate and hot cider (individual packets)
- Fruit juices (individual size)
- Cleaning Products and Disinfectants
- Finish dishwasher tablets, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, Windex & Softsoap
- Furniture polish
- Air dry clay
- Mr. Sketch “Smelly” markers
- Glass jar candles (unscented)
- Small smooth rocks and rough rocks (thumbnail size)
- Fun dress-up items – scarves, jewelry, purses
- Medical supplies and office supplies for role playing
- Silly String, bubbles or other outdoor toys
- Children’s books and adult novels (new or gently used)
