Feminine Hygiene Kits for African Women
Goal: 200 Kits
Feminine Hygiene Kits for African Women
Ouelessebougou Alliance supports several African villages that lack many of the basics such as water, medical supplies and educational resources. In regards to feminine hygiene, it has been reported that girls have to miss school during their period for lack of proper supplies to allow them to function normally while they are on their period.
At this year’s Canyon Rim Cares, we’ll be collecting supplies for feminine hygiene kits to assist women and girls in Mali who lack said supplies.
However, many of the feminine hygiene products commonly used in the U.S. serve only a very short-term benefit and wind up as litter. The supplies we collect will be used to create longer-term solutions. Volunteers will be going to Mali in October and taking supplies with them in tote boxes
