2021 Millcreek Tree Plant

Service Project: Tree Planting

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, organizations across the country are organizing service projects to both remember and re-frame the date an opportunity to do good in our communities.
Millcreek-based civic, religious and other community organizations invite you to join your neighbors in participating two local service projects. With assistance from Tree Utah volunteers will plant 30 trees that were generously donated by Ivory Homes.

If you are unable to participate in person, feel free to give a donation. All proceeds will support the planting of trees, Tree Utah and food pantries at local schools.

Bring a pair of gloves, your water bottle and a non-perishable food item to donate to food pantries at local schools.

Food Drive Overview

All food items and surplus cash donations will be donated to the Olympus Food Pantry, which serves the students and families of the Olympus High School network, including all junior high and elementary schools. The pantry serves 600 people a week, and sends home fresh food bags on the weekend with items for two dinners and one breakfast. The pantry is funded and stocked by community donors. Please bring new and non-expired, non-perishable food items to help support the pantry.

In December YWCA Utah will host its annual Candy Cane Lane, which provides a much-needed holiday shopping experience for the families they serve.
