Description

Project Connection is a nonprofit mental health agency serving residents of Salt Lake County. Their mission is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals and families in the community. They believe this is done by providing access to quality mental health services that are evidence-based and trauma-informed. They also believe that people do better when they are connected, integrated, and supported in the community.

Therefore, in addition to traditional mental health services, they provide opportunities for clients to connect with others in their mental health goals and in the community. They strive to decrease the stigma of mental illness through education, advocacy, and connection.

Project Connection addresses issues of mental health care accessibility, affordability, and quality of care for unfunded/underfunded individuals in Salt Lake County by providing affordable, accessible, trauma-informed, mental health care and opportunities for connection and growth beyond therapy through community programs.

To help their clients build connections, they are asking the Canyon Rim Community to share with Project Connection what activities or experiences help connect them with their families, friends, and community. We are collecting items that can be used to build connection baskets for their clients. Think of these baskets as a starting point to build new traditions or experiences for other individuals or families in our community.

Bring your donation to our booth at the Canyon Rim Cares festival and help us assemble connection baskets as we receive donations throughout the day.
